This book is perfect for first-time gardeners. It’s filled with planting techniques, soil prep, the differences between tree and bush planting, and plenty of options that can fit your budget. I am all about saving money and starting a garden is a lot more affordable than I thought it was. It honestly seems to be a nice, soothing activity. In a world that is all about progressing faster and faster, gardening seems to be more my speed. I’m seriously considering planting berries because of their low maintenance and health benefits. Not to mention, they all taste great!

“Fruit Gardening For a Healthier Lifestyle” has raised the bar on gardening ebooks! In comparison to the 10 others that I have bought in recent years, this book has better graphics to help understand key issues like soil types, plant anatomy, etc. I also love the artwork of the sample gardens, garden scenes, plant problems, and such. Clearly, author Nolan Saraceni put in the extra work to make every part of this book (editing, formatting, artwork, content) top notch. Great job, Nolan!
The information is deep while remaining easy to understand and implement. I had several apple trees die on my over three years’ time, and I believe I now understand why. Saraceni goes explains well the importance of selecting the best fruit trees for your particular soil, climate, pH, and other considerations. I am now starting over, and this book will clearly help me more than the other books I have on this topic. I also greatly appreciate the specific numbers on how much I can save over time by succeeding with my fruit garden.
Excellent resource for both starting your own fruit garden AND doing so with the dual goals of greater health and financial savings… you get the best health for the lowest cost! I can wholeheartedly recommend this book.

I’ve struggled with a peach tree in my yard for several years and have never had a good harvest. Despite my lack of success with the peach tree, I also bought a tiny fig tree. Wanting to do my best for them and expand my fruit gardening, I purchased this book. It provided me with many insights into how to help my peach tree. As the quote at the beginning of chapter two stated, “A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.” I had barely expended any effort into the peach tree when I planted it. Now, I’m planning on checking the soil for nutrients and pH, as well as possibly moving it to another area of my yard with more sun. This book is well-researched, comprehensive, and well-laid out for easy reading. I would recommend it to anyone starting or needing help with their
