I have been taking these for years as prescribed by my doctor. But have not seen much improvement in my dry eye condition. Taking it now for its nutritional value.

The capsules are fairly big but easy to swallow, no unpleasant aftertaste. I have yet to know if it is effective as described for dry eyes.

I was a bit skeptical to this. I however was very wrong. This stuff works. It took about 5 weeks daily use of 3 capsules in the AM. Then Wow that 5th week. My eyes are white again and not red and irritated. I used to wake up with bloodshot eyes no longer this is a Godsend.
As for the product itself capsules appear clean and clear yellow in color, they are easy to swallow
I get no fishy taste or fishy burps. Great value these a really affordable appearance is of a quality product I will continue to use these for the rest of my life.

Since I have been using this product regularly- I have not had to use my eye drops nearly as much. Hardly ever I would say. Retinal surgeon recommended to my friend – then she told me. Definitely worth a try if you have dry eyes.

I have had a mixed experience with the TheraTears 1200mg Omega 3 Supplement for Eye Nutrition. While it offers some benefits, there are a few drawbacks that cannot be ignored.
Let’s start with the flavor. Unfortunately, this supplement has a distinct fish oil taste that can leave you with an unpleasant aftertaste. It’s no surprise that it can make you burp fish oil, which can be quite off-putting. While I understand that the taste is due to the organic flaxseed triglyceride fish oil content, it is still a significant drawback for those who are sensitive to such flavors.
On the bright side, the value for money is commendable. The 90-count bottle provides a good supply of the supplement at a reasonable price point. Considering the benefits of omega-3s for eye nutrition, the cost-effectiveness of this product makes it a worthy investment.
In terms of ease of swallowing, the TheraTears Omega 3 Supplement fares decently. The size of the capsules is manageable, and they go down smoothly with a glass of water. While they are not the smallest capsules on the market, they are still easy to swallow for most individuals.
Overall, the TheraTears 1200mg Omega 3 Supplement for Eye Nutrition receives a three-star rating from me. The unpleasant flavor and fish oil burps are significant downsides that can make taking the supplement a less enjoyable experience. However, the value for money is good, and the ease of swallowing is acceptable. If you can tolerate the taste and are seeking an omega-3 supplement specifically for eye nutrition, this product may still be worth considering.

I’ve been taking these for a couple of years. It’s got a good list of ingredients – all great for the eyes. Like my optometrist said, “The more ingredients, the better.” This was the product he recommended. To find so many good and needed elements in a supplement at a good price is helpful since consistent use is beneficial. Highly recommend Thera Tears.

I’ve had dry eyes for 30+ years, diagnosed and confirmed- this is why I could not wear contacts. Been using artificial tears to help compensate, and also had some procedures done to help slow tear draining. But basically my eyes were irritated and tired most of the time. Tried restasis- that didn’t work.
When I wanted to consider lasik the eye dr said my eyes were too dry, and suggested trying these pills to bump up tear production. I didn’t believe it could work, right up until it did. After a couple weeks he confirmed with a tear production test that my tear volume had improved substantially and I went ahead with the successful lasik procedure.
After a few years I’m able to get by with just a single pill most days. With this pill I can go without drops for most of the day- vs before it was drops every few hours and a bottle in my pocket all the time. So I’d call this a substantial improvement in dryness- not a cure but reducing the impact by 80%. When I was taking 3 pills I would sometimes get some minor off flavor burping after a couple hours- but this was a minor observation not a real problem.
May not work for everyone but for me these work great, been taking them for 20 years, can’t say enough good things about them. I have them on subscribe n save auto ship. If I inadvertently miss a pill my eyes will be dry and irritated by the end of the day- I can feel the difference. If you have dry eyes I highly recommend you try them or ask your eye doctor about them. They make a good bottle of artificial tears as well.

I was recommended these by my regular optometrist, due to my recent struggles with dry eyes and ongoing acne rosacea (which I have to take a daily low grade antibiotic to keep at bay). She was very confident that after a few months of taking these supplements, my dry eyes would improve and I would probably even be able to stop taking the antibiotic for my rosacea.
However, I am disappointed with the longevity of these supplements. I double checked before I started typing, but the instructions do say to store at room temperature. I keep the bottle with all my other medications and supplements, and when it was down to about a weeks worth, I started experiencing fishy burps and a gross taste. I know this means the oil is going rancid, so I stopped taking them with the last week’s worth still in the bottle. I’m pretty disappointed with this, because while these aren’t the most expensive, they are still a monthly cost, so I’m bummed I don’t even get to finish my bottle.
I will order another bottle, but this time I will put them in the refrigerator to make sure that they last as long as they should.
