    Not just another cookbook (although there are plenty of recipe gems sprinkled throughout), this book is more about changing your mindset on healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle.

    If you are familiar with the Mediterranean Diet you will find many similarities here. Beyond a diet book, the author covers health issues to take into consideration such as allergies, hormones, thyroid imbalance, menopause, and stress. He gives ideas of how to get the junk food out of your life and how to structure your day around eating and living well. If you need an encouraging word along your path to good health, this book is worth a look.

    I have truly learned and been blessed from reading this book. We used it to do a “Biblical Foods” presentation for the women’s group at our church and have been asked to do the presentation again. Even folks who have been in church for many years found this to be a great learning experience. This book is FULL of useful information, history, scripture references, recipes, menus and a whole lot more. God’s original diet plan is the BEST and He wants us to be healthy. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is one of our greatest enemies. When will we wake up??? We ignore our unhealthy eating habits and think it has nothing to do with how lousy we feel, poor health or diseases. This book clearly defines “Clean” and “Unclean” foods and the results of each. It’s a book you won’t put down or leave on the shelf once you start reading it. This book offers you an opportunity and guide to improve your health status and knowledge. Make sure to have removable sticky notes/markers because you’ll need them to mark many things you’ll want to remember or share with someone else. This book also makes a wonderful gift.

    I have always wondered “what” types of food did Jesus eat…especially in the region that he was born & raised.
    The son of God must have been the “perfect” weight for his height. I know for a fact that HE got plenty of exercise doing all that WALKING! Besides, he was a carpenter! That means that he probably had to fetch “heavy” pieces of wood from time to time.
    Jesus must have none of gluttony and self-control…and how to discipline his body to “eat” the proper nutritious food(s).

    With those questions in mind…I found myself ordering this book, besides, Dr. Colbert is a CHRISTIAN that regularly appears on Kenneth Copeland Ministry program(s). I respect his teaching and know that he is not a quack!

    He uses Godly wisdom, along with modern science & nutrition. He will share scriptures to help you eat properly.

    The support and encouragement are OUTSTANDING! This is an excellent book to add to your library. It will “motivate” you to be the BEST YOU CAN BE ( by and through Christ Jesus)! 😀

    I liked this book and at times found it enlightening, especially in terms of how modern meat is processed compared to Biblical days. The term “kosher” is also explained well. Be prepared, though; while such pages are few and far between, they are quite disturbing to read. I do feel better informed by having read the book, however, and recommend it to anyone who cares about the “why” or “why not” behind today’s food choices.
