    I wanted to write a review on this book that I was honored and thrilled to read as Autumn Calabrese has been my personal trainer for at home workouts for over three years now through the awesome Beachbody On Demand at home workout program site. I have done many workout programs with different trainers and worked out throughout many years of my life in the gym for hours a day (can I get a BORING!!) and Autumn’s workout programs (short, sweet ok well not always so sweet but to the point!!) overall are the most effective and beneficial workouts and for those out there who struggle with those hard-to-reach areas (ladies you know what I’m talking about!!) these programs (i.e, 80 Day Obsession, 21 Day Fix) will target those hard to reach and struggle areas like nobody’s business (TRUST ME!!!) As exercise is an enormous part of your overall health and fitness, more importantly, Autumn has designed the Ultimate Portion Fix container system. This program designed by Autumn and her philosophies have been nothing short of the best thing I have found in my life to make such a difference in how I feel and how my health and overall nutrition is. Autumn gives you all of the tools you need to make an impact and difference in your every day life and struggles for especially those with a pattern of emotional eating and her tools help you in every facet of your life. It was this last year of the yo-yo all or nothing mentality and way of life eating and up and down roller coaster of emotional eating that I finally was able to come to terms with “kicking this roller coasters butt” and jumping off with the inspiring words and support by Autumn. One thing that you can always depend on with Autumn Calabrese is that she is the most genuine and transparent person which is why she has made such a difference and positive impact in all of our lives and will continue to do so overtime. Please know that because nutrition is one of the biggest pieces of overall health and in the words of Autumn “it’s not half the battle it is the battle ,” All of the incredible recipes that Autumn and her brother Bobby Calabrese have created on the Fixate cooking show and in the Fixate cookbooks myself and all of my family have enjoyed and look forward to every single week of new recipes and new exciting things to try because that my friends is what keeping this health and nutrition is all about and never having a boring meal to throw you off!!     This book is such a big source of information and motivation to both the Team AC members (aka the author and nutrition/fitness expert Autumn Calabrese) and the newbies. Autumn has a huge way of communicating in simple words and straight examples from her life and in motivating with straightforward quotes that you find yourself ready to get control over your life with new and revived energy. I truly appreciate the way she has laid everything out in small doable steps, including the hard work of going deeper into the “why” of choosing to walk the healthy path .. for life! Her portion control system is totally approachable, intuitive and, most of all, so practical! When you get the book you have also access to two new exclusive 21 day fix workouts from the beachbody site led by her and three workout buddies, including a modifier. At the end of the book there is also a comprehensive library of yummy recipes to choose from. I am going to read the book a second time and to go even deeper in my whys. I truly recommend this book to anyone who wants, like myself, to end the battle of emotional eating and to begin to love herself more.

    I love this book. I like how real Autumn is with her life stories and how she got to were she is. She truly is an inspiration with eating the right portions and having balanced life and nutrition. Lots of people have crazy busy lives. With work stress to family life and now this pandemic. Life throws lots of curve balls to all of us. It seems that sometimes there just isn’t enough hours in the day to just give yourself me time. This is it. Today’s society is based on oversized portions which in turn has made so many people overindulge without realizing it. Autumn has been a game changer in my overall health and wellness. Her workouts are amazing as well. Once you have the nutrition down pack, the fitness is just a given.

    Wow…I am not normally a reader but seriously I had a hard time putting this book down. What I love so much about it is the unique writing format, and the slick font but more importantly its actually a workbook/journal! You have spots throughout the book that you actually write in. You track goals, your why, what you ate, she has you write negative thoughts and cancel them out, not to mention her life has been so interesting to follow and especially when she gives teasers along the way for example: (more on that later). It is a really great book! Do yourself a favor and GET IT talk about page after page of motivation.

    I’d been wanting to lose weight for some time, but didn’t want to do a diet that would cause me to gain weight back quickly once I’d lost the weight. I was petite and small in my 20s, and then the weight started creeping up as I got older. I’m so thankful to have found this book! It’s really important to have the mindset that this is a permanent change to your diet. It took me ten months, but I lost 45 lbs, and have been able to keep it off easily with the maintenance plan. (My husband lost 25 lbs in just three months.) I went from a size 12 to a size 2 or 4 – wow!

    My husband and I followed most of Autumn’s suggestions – with one big exception being to mostly cut out dairy. I cut dairy completely the first two months, and missed my cheese, butter, and sour cream just too much. So, I added back those things, and kept drinking almond milk for dinner, and using Nut Pods creamer in my coffee. Thus, I had more fat in my daily routine than suggested. But it still worked in a way that I felt was sustainable for the long-term.

    The biggest things are portion control, and eating the right quantities of each food group. (I didn’t purchase the containers, but just eyeball my amounts.) Unlike my friend on the keto diet, I’m not necessarily counting carbs, but am more ensuring I eat BETTER carbs and in the RIGHT portions. Autumn’s food charts make it so easy! I now love salads, and add lots of good things to them – including the mini mozzarella balls that I get from Costco. Cauliflower rice has mostly replaced white rice, and my husband and I both prefer that! Roasted veggies are excellent sides, too. I can also have a martini or glass of wine once a week—and can have chocolate every few days—so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I even have pasta and bread, but it has to be carb-worthy, and my portions are much smaller. I make much of my own bread and desserts (Chocolate Covered Katie has the best healthy recipes!), so I can decide exactly what goes in them. I also avoid buying prepared items with unnecessary added sugar. My husband and I do still eat out several times a week, but we are able to make better choices.

    For exercise, I joined The Exercise Coach, which is a national franchise offering strength training workouts (geared towards clients over 40) that help to boost your metabolism. The workouts are surprisingly easy – twice a week for 20 minutes. I also walk several miles a day with my dog. Combined with this diet and my exercise routine, I’ve been successful at losing that stubborn weight.

    I highly recommend this diet, and have told numerous friends and neighbors about this book from Autumn. Thank you so much for inspiring me!

    The portion control helped me understand how much I should eat daily and the workouts are as good as any others, but I recently found out that BeachBody is an MLM and that’s where all the shakes and vitamins come in.
    It’s disappointing that there’s no mention of this being a pyramid scheme!

    Great book i found I could relate to a lot of what was being said and was nice to know the story of how it all started and see that even autumn had her struggles.. I found it helped me to get back on plan and really focus was what I needed it does have the portion fix plan in this book and recipes that I found great All in all I think this is a great book
