We told you in our video “How I Stopped Smoking In 3 Days” https://youtu.be/0uczgqVT1fw. I shared my story of how and why I was able to stop smoking in only 3 days after smoking for over 30 years.
Now new research is showing that those who quick “cold turkey” is most often more successful than those try to stop over time.

The report goes on to say that the use of counseling and nicotine patches was part of the research but showed that going “cold turkey” resulted in higher yield success rates.
There is really good evidence for nicotine replacement therapy like patches and gum, that are also very safe, to help people quit smoking, the report from Annals of Internal Medicine said.
In addition to the method of quitting, a person’s attitude about quitting may help determine whether he or she will be successful. The current study found that participants who preferred trying to quit abruptly before the study started — suggesting they were especially motivated to quit — were also more likely to be kick the habit.
The research showed that people who try to stop smoking in a gradual tend to lose their motivation.
For myself it was a matter of doing it and being fed up with the changes in society, but also knowing that if I didn’t stop and got cancer who was I going to blame?
Social peer pressure, which was the cause of most of us starting to smoking, in the first place, is now encouraging us to change our attitudes about smoking.
To successfully quick “Cold Turkey” you must first start the self-talk about all the negative aspects of smoking both socially and how it affects your health.

In this effort negative self-talk is your strongest weapon.

Self-Talk like:
• “I was born a non-smoker”
• When I stop smoking my lungs will regain their health
• “ I will not die because I stopped smoking, but I will if I keep smoking.
• It will feel good to be in control of my life and health by giving up smoking.
* Smoking is no longer socially acceptable
* Smoking is dirty.
* Smoking dirties you mouth and makes your clothes smell.
* Smoking will put you in the most expensive bed in the world, “A Sick Bed”

This is all you have to do to stop smoking today:
Don’t try to stop smoking for 3 days, but during those 3 days say to yourself as you inhale the smoke these words with each puff, “I Don’t Smoke”.
You will be amazed that after 3 days your mind will start to say “Well, if I don’t smoke why am I smoking” and the cravings will go away, guaranteed.
